Frank — The Idea That Started It All
For more than 30 years, I had been an avid collector of vintage and antique jewelry, with much of my collection carefully tucked away in cases.
Then my husband, Frank, had an idea. We had a vacant building in town, and he asked me, “If I restore the building, would you consider selling your jewelry collection?”
At first, I hesitated. These were pieces I had spent decades collecting and loving. But with Frank’s encouragement and support, I began to see things differently. Instead of keeping these beautiful treasures tucked away, I could create a place where they could be discovered, worn and loved again.
While Frank worked with others to restore the building, I began dreaming about the shop. I envisioned something elegant, romantic and welcoming, with the charm of another era. With the help of a gentleman who shared my appreciation for antiques, I traveled in search of vintage and antique display cases that would give the shop its distinctive character.
And from Frank’s idea, encouragement and belief in me, AB Vintage Jewelry Co. came to life.
Frank remains part of the shop today, lending a hand behind the scenes and occasionally repairing jewelry for us often with Bella nearby.
A collection more than 30 years in the making had finally found its home and a place for its stories to continue.
